ABOUT THE DESIGNER

STUDIO PRINS, by Emma Winkler Prins, is a one-woman design studio specializing in 3D-printed objects that exist somewhere between art and architecture—minimal, modern, and always monochrome. Her work is a celebration of texture, form, and the art of keeping the beauty in the details.

With a degree in architecture from TU Delft, Emma traded the rigidity of traditional design for the creative chaos of Blender files and 3D printers. STUDIO PRINS is proof that you don’t need a team to create a movement—just a vision, a 3D printer, and an endless desire to continue learning.

Emma's main sources of inspiration are water, music, and of course architecture. Every piece she creates is an experiment in pushing boundaries—of material, form, and how far you can go with the “colorless” palette.

Whether it’s a sculptural candle holder or a vase that looks like it came straight out of Zaha Hadid's dreams, her work is for those who appreciate the intersection of art and design: shaping beautiful forms with a function. Armed with a 3D printer and a boundless source of creativity, Emma is building a design brand that’s bold and monochromatic. Through the absence of color, she has exposes a more meaningful dialogue of structure, texture, and intention.
